1. System Design: - Developed a new RF radiocommunications system operating in UHF and VHF bands for national coverage in Venezuela. - Implemented real-time communication with rural telecommunications stations across 24 states and 33 base stations. - Achieved coverage of almost 1,000,000 km2, which is equivalent to the entire territorial extension of Ontario.2. Technical Expertise: - Analyzed factors in radio communications systems, including RF Radio links, UHF and VHF technology, antennas, gains, and transmission power. - Familiarity with ITU-R recommendations and national radioelectric spectrum administrative regulations.3. Software Proficiency: - Used Radio Mobile software for design, considering parameters like transmitter power, antenna gains, tower heights, reliability, and availability. - Analyzed radiowaves propagation, including special, above plain, and spherical ground, and factors like reflection, diffraction, refraction, and dispersion.4. Propagation Analysis: - Studied attenuation for obstacles, reflection, and multi-trajectories. - Analyzed radio channels, modulation, digital signals, and frequency bands. - Fresnel zone.5. Antenna Design and Analysis: - Examined antennas and their elements, including radiation patterns, gains, directivity, polarization, reciprocity, isotropic antenna, band wide, beam wide to 3dB, polarization, effective area, wind resistance, and impedance. - Considered various types of antennas: linear, real short, lambda/2, and yagi dipoles.6. Propagation Prediction Tools: - Used Google Earth and Radio-Mobile software to predict radio wave propagation. - Utilized digital terrain information and mathematical models for simulating radio transmissions between towers/antennas.7. Interoperability and Equipment Proposal: - Ensured interoperability between existing old equipment and new proposed equipment. - Proposed equipment, including transmitters, receivers, and antennas.
