My working experience, mostly divided between experimental/lab activities and the monitoring and assessment of technologies, has given me an extensive knowledge of technologies with a relevant role in the energy transition, particularly hydrogen technologies. This knowledge ranges from the very detailed aspects to the global impact of these technologies.During these years I have worked not only studying the technical features and safety aspects of, but also supporting the development of related regulations of these technologies. Additionally, some of my work have been focused in the analysis and understanding of the role that the hydrogen technologies could play in sectors as energy, industry and transport, and the impact of its deployment. My experience within the European Commission put me in closed contact with the different EC institutions, improving my understanding on their operating principles and their funding mechanisms. Moreover, it has facilitated the creation of a vast network of colleagues both in the hydrogen community and within the different institutions of the European Commission.
