In the creative field I would be considered somewhat of a rare hybrid. I have the artistic eye, design sensibilities and skills of an art director paired with a genuine interest and enjoyment of the technological. What does that really mean? It means I not only enjoy laying out a spread in a way that tells the story in an aesthetic, captivating and effective way, but I also enjoy writing an AppleScript that helps my team perform time intensive tasks in a fraction of the time. What does that really look like?I develop concepts for the brand, design layouts for our catalogs, direct Photoshoots on location and in studio, edit the photography and polish the end product. But wait, that’s not all. I have written over 180 AppleScripts that our creative team uses to streamline our process and help make us much more efficient. From scripts that take our merchandise information and creates InDesign spreads with that information, to scripts that place every photography select onto it’s appropriate InDesign spread. I am extremely grateful to have this unusual combination of passions because they have helped make me a valuable asset to my team, to my brand, and to the company.
