Performing uranium isotope ratio characterization using the Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) for Nuclear Forensics and Safeguards purposes. In this study we also extended the characterization by another techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). During the masters course I attended the 10th ESARDA's Course regarding Nuclear Safeguards and Non-proliferation which was funded and organized by the Joint Reseach Centre (JRC). Moreover,I participated in the Galaxy Serpent Exercise, which was conducted under the auspices of Nuclear Forensics International Working Group (ITWG) and organized by the U.S. Department of State.During this period I was responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of the ICP-MS, replacing several spare parts, such as extraction lens, multipoles, entrance slit and SEM.
