About Rafael Di Furia
Born and raised in the USA but always knew a life abroad was the life for me. At the age of 17, I embarked on my new adventure. It brought me to many amazing places and I had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people. In my early teen years I had an interest in the visual arts and with my love of observing the world around me, I knew I had to figure out a way to make it my career. In 2009 my video career was born from those roots. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to capture images and video for a wide variety of clients around the world, from Governmental Ministries to Religious Ministries, schools, NGO’s, non-profits, news agencies, music artists and even families. My background has given me a unique appreciation and viewpoint on the world we live in and I always put 100% of myself into what I create. The main goal of New Bound Media from day one has been to help my clients convey their vision through visual media and to make their ideas come alive. In 2017 I decided to return to my family’s roots and make a life for myself in Italy and continue doing the work that I love so much

Because moving abroad and especially moving to Italy is quite an undertaking, I wanted to share information and experiences with others in hopes of helping people to avoid a difficult transition into life abroad. During my own research I found the content I was looking for simply didn’t exist or was not presented in a medium that I found easy to consume. Because of my experience in television production and passion for the world of video, I thought it I may as well be the one and make the content myself and try to help others with the information I already have and sharing what I learn along the journey. I try to keep my content as informational as possible while still having fun with it and entertaining for the viewer. During my search for content before I started my own project, I found many creators focused only on the glamorous side of life abroad while forgetting about the daily realities that people face in a new country, learning everything from the beginning all over again. There’s more than just the “Pizza Pasta and Amore” Another hope for these videos is to help viewers know that they’re not totally alone, there are other people going through the same struggles as they are with the same questions that they have and to build a comunity of people around the world to share information with one another.
