Passionate about shipping, trade, insurance, customs, logistics and full dedicated to negotiate, litigate and settle cases. Since in all shipping cases in Chile arbitration is mandatory and most part of the insurance cases, arbitration is also considered, we have been handling several arbitration as well as litigating before ordinary courts. Started my career more than 20 years ago as a paralegal for a very recognized law firm in Valparaiso, Chile, then followed the path of being a lawyer, moved to Santiago, become partner in another law firm and then founded Legal Export Abogados back in January 2016. I have served as World Bank Consultant for their inform about agricultural commodities and its legal aspects (Chilean related inform), as a Vice-President of the Iberoamerican Institute of Shipping Law (representative for Chile) for 7 years between 2017 and 2023 revitalizing the work done. Teaching Shipping at the Mexican ITAM. Proud to be, among other, the coordinator of a book in honor of Mr. Eugenio Cornejo Fuller, the father of Shipping Law in Chile who helped to modernize all the Chilean legislation including the Book III of the Code of Commerce and Navigation Law. Always I´ve considered myself lucky for doing what I love. Perhaps the passion comes from the sea and all what is related including scuba diving and recently started to body boarding. Also passionate about Patagonia, protecting the environment, the virgin richness of the nature there. Impossible to not go there on a frequent basis and if you haven´t to consider a trip at least once in your lifetime. Need to say that at Legal Export we represent traders (importers, exporters, brokers), shipping companies, international law firms, insurers, insured, logistic companies, freight forwarders, warehouses, among other with real passion and quality in our job and lucky also to be surrounded with a great team. We´ve developed an extended net of law firms and colleagues on Shipping Law among several countries specially including South America.
