Application Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, passionate about solving and simplifying problems with software.I got my first computer when I was 6, and, since then, they’ve been in my life as an important part of who I am today. I grew up using computers and learning how they work. Since a teenager, I was 100% sure about what I would go for in College. I've met my wife on a IRC channel. I've being working in computer/software related jobs since I was 14. And, when I really got into solving and simplifying problems with software, I fell in love with it and I can't imagine myself doing something different every day.Experienced applications architect working on software development, process automation and process/resources optimization for more than 18 years. Fast self learner, always seeking for new knowledge to design and propose better, optimized software solutions. After a few years in a fast growing developer career, I've moved to project management, leadership and also manager positions and then to more technical leadership roles. As an application architect in the last 7+ years, I've had technical leadership experience, worked with multiple Spring Boot applications, decomposition of monolithic applications into smaller components/microservices and design of cloud native, serverless applications since their conception. As part of SRE teams, I've designed process automation (CI/CD, change management, among others), coordinated software optimizations, delivered cost reduction projects, supporting 100+ modules/components/applications. In the last year or so, my main techs have been AWS, Go, Terraform and Groovy.Technical skills and interests: Java, Python, GO, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, serverless, CI/CD, DevOps, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), automation, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, SQL, Maven, Gradle, GitOps, systems design, architecture, Spring MVC, Core Java, Design Patterns

Free LancerFree Lancer Jan 1997 - Dec 2011During this time I work on many types of software projects.I started working for students from a school here in my city. Most of the people didn't have computers or were not familiar to it, so I was there to help them setting up their machines or making their paper work available in the computer. I have also worked on small projects for small companies from my city. At that time (late 90's), internet and company websites were not that common there.A couple of years later, I started working only on more complex software development. My professional network grew so that companies start coming to me so I could develop software for them. I've worked with process automation, heavy industry image processing, POS, dynamic company web sites, among other smaller projects.Later on, I started working on analysis and planning, most of the time for brand new companies or companies with engineering expertise but without software expertise. I've delivered more than 10 projects related to industry automation, data analysis, e-commerce and enterprise web sites.I decided to end my free lancer career since 2011 so I could focus more on the work being done in the company I was working on and dedicate more time to the growing career I was building.

Software Developer And It SupportBolsa De Hospedagem Jan 1999 - Apr 2000We had a web site to sell travel packages with hotels and tickets. Our work was get the data from spreadsheets and make it available in the web site. At this, the technology for web sites were not that awesome as we have today. We had basically HTML files and javascript code to make the web site dynamic. We used a few asp codes and image manipulation to make the web site more beautiful and user friendly. At this time, the company was ver innovative because of the site. Other companies from our city/state/country were not on the web. I was there to help with the IT support as well, like keeping the network and the workstations working fine for the sales force and administrative people.
