Built services through a combination of Terraform to provision infrastructure and Ansible to configure the endpoint systems. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes of the company. I have been an integral part of a team that supported and improved development on internal and client’s projects, using technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes and Docker, all are coordinated with GitLab and FluxCD. Deployed VPNs and secure access control systems between the company services and clients resources. Created and maintained information about products and procedures on the company's wiki. Developed an internationally distributed network of cache servers combined with reverse proxies reducing response times, latency and server load for the core infrastructure to less than 5% of the original. Set up and deployed internally developed Python software using public repositories. Supported and monitored websites hosted or developed for client companies. Served as a maintainer for public software projects on the porting to FreeBSD of popular server technologies (Haproxy, Postfix, MySQL, Redis among others). Provided multiple tier support for end users and clients of the company systems. Review and contribute to ongoing improvements in the implementation of standards and procedures for DevOps best practices. Successfully created and maintained automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment using GitLab while automating the final configuration process using Ansible, resulting in the elimination of approximately 75% of manual work in the software deployment process.

Developed and implemented a system for Cuban radio that digitized and distributed signals from 107 stations over the Internet in real time, using custom operating systems and specialized software developed internally. Directed the migration from Windows server to Linux systems on the entire IT infrastructure of the institute. I renewed critical company communication services, using modern and secure software and technologies. Planned and supervised the consolidation of more than 230 internal domains into a single one, easing the IT management overhead and reducing the costs of maintenance of the entire system to less than 5%. Designed and implemented a Kubernetes cluster to redundantly host 130 plus websites, improving the service availability. Designed and implemented a distributed mass storage solution for the television production systems. Developed a system that automated the monitoring and processing of security related logs, capable to react to several categories of intrusion events, reducing the impact of such events on the servers at the same time that maximized the availability for legitimate users. Deployed a virtualization servers cluster using ProxmoxVE to host internal IT services. Successfully solved internal and external support tasks.

Founding member and leader of the Operating Systems division of the company. Led a medium-sized team of developers on different projects to fulfill government contracts. Developed a security system for Linux workstations and servers, capable of detecting and reacting in real time to threats and intrusions, which incorporated a centralized knowledge base that allowed the identification of signatures of potential attackers. Designed and developed a distributed software compilation system, for the support of Linux distribution repositories, capable of self-managing the dependencies of the processed packages, finding errors in them and suggesting corrective actions to their maintainers. Designed and developed a heterogeneous database replication system, which incorporated automatic data processing and transformation and error correction.
