Client: IBM - Outsourcing (MEDCO - US Pharmacy Benefit Management)Technologies: VBA, Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.NET, C#, COM+, MSMQ, XML, Java (J2EE), Oracle, SQL Server.At IBM, I played a critical role in supporting and implementing a large-scale Workflow Manager application used by MEDCO, a US Pharmacy Benefit Management company. This application processed prescriptions across more than 1200 workstations, connecting four different states within the MEDCO network. With a complex eligibility/validation check process via OCR and numerous constraints, including drug compatibility based on recent usage, the system represented a significant challenge.The application's intricate architecture required extensive data exchange between servers, carried out through XML, interacting with MSMQ and several COM+ objects. Amidst this complexity, my key responsibilities included:Supporting and implementing application updates based on business analyst specifications.Conducting rigorous code reviews in line with AGILE methodologies to ensure high-quality software development.Generating reports for benchmarking and assessment purposes.Troubleshooting production support defects to ensure seamless application performance.Documenting the development process in accordance with CMMI Level 5 methodology.In this role, I further honed my technical skills and problem-solving abilities in a demanding, high-stakes environment, ensuring the smooth operation of a critical application within the pharmaceutical sector.
