- Support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing and interpreting all the region / countries financial data- Review monthly the financial performance of the allocated countries in the region and recommend / implement actions- Contribute for the definition of the strategy (mid and long term) in the region- Manage and closely monitor the cash flow and take actions to improve Net Working Capital in whole region- Establish and ensure the implementation of internal control procedures and risk management- Build up the regional controlling organization and ensure transparency and compliance in financial reporting

- Coordinate and review budget, forecast and performance analysis together with the preparation of business units strategic financial plan- Evaluating and communicating financial results and impact on forecasts to the board of directors- Develop tools and metrics to measure the performance of the business. E.g.: evaluating actual to budget trends and key company drivers on a monthly / quarterly basis- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and identify the cause of any unexpected variances- Support management team (CFO and CEO) with data-driven and ad-hoc analysis

- Responsible for planning, forecasting and budgeting for a multicultural R&D team (Finland, China, US, Poland, India, Italy, Sweden)- Control and management the financial performance of the R&D organizations and project valuations- Analysis of tax implications and legal aspects of technology purchases and licensing- Business analyst for the global management team of a multi-billion player in the electrical motors and generators market- Control of intra-company business services sales/purchases and transfer pricing;

- Responsible for all reporting aspects (Actual, Forecast and Budget), including Orders, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Net Working Capital for Service Transportation.- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) pushing continuous improvements and cost reductions- Ensure accurate financial results and adherence to USGAAP, IFRS and ABB Accounting Rules & Guidelines- Work in close cooperation with heads of department to improve quality levels and processes, as well as ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards- Monitor and analyze R&D financial indicators and forecast its annual financial position, prepare the financial reports and advise management on financial matters.

The ABB Global Trainee Program for Finance & Business Control takes 24 months and comprises 3 different assignments. First: Financial Analyst (Oct12 – Mar13) ABB Sao Paulo, BrazilI started my first assignment in Brazil, where I was able to gain experience in the areas of Operational Controlling, ABB’s Accounting & Reporting Systems, Internal Control and Front-end Business in a Country level.Second: Internal Control Specialist (Apr13 – Sep13) ABB HQ - Zurich, Switzerland- Implementation of SOX control strategies and Standard Control Sets across ABB Units;- Risk assessment and monitoring of SOX 404 deficiencies and the implementation of process improvement at Group Level;- Implementation of control rationalization initiatives, including ICoFR management testing and the adherence of countries to SOX rules;- Promote training activities and develop training material to be used by Countries and Regions.Third: Local Business Unit Assistant Controller (Oct13 – Sep14) - ABB Mannheim, Germany-Prepare forecast and budget information including ABACUS reports;-Analyze deviation between forecasted and actual;- Monitor key financial indicators (such as Orders Received, Revenues, Over/Under absorption, S,G&A costs, EBIT, Operational Cash Flow and Networking Capital) and provide information and decision support to Operation’s Managers;- Support the Controlling Team monthly, quarterly and yearly, during the accounting closing routines;- Assist internal controls (especially regarding SOX determinations) and external auditing

- Oversees of internal control performance data in Brazil and in the SAM Region.- Organize and perform yearly walkthrough and test plans, in accordance with SOX methodology.- Assessment of test results, monitor deficiencies with status of remediation in progress.- Support the implementation of Standard Controls in the country and interaction with Business Process Owners. - Support internal and external audits in the country, including the remediation of audit recommendations.- Support compliance investigations in the Region (including on-site visits).
