withco is a property ownership platform for small businesses. As Head of Engineering and first technical hire, I hired and led a team of engineers, defined the technical strategy and product roadmap from the ground up, and architected a platform to automate lead generation, internal operations, first- and third-party data collection and underwriting of SMBs and commercial real estate properties. We raised $30M+ from investors including Founders Fund, Canaan Partners, Initialized Capital and NFX.

VTS is the world's leading asset management, leasing, and marketing platform for the commercial real estate industry. There I led the engineering teams working on our marketing solutions, VTS Market and VTS Marketplace.

• Laid the foundation for the development of new products as one integrated platform. Introduced Kafka for event-driven communication, OpenID Connect for federated identity, and consumer-driven contracts to reliably test integrations.• Bootstrapped the development of VTS Market and VTS Marketplace, starting as the first engineer and later leading 20+ engineers organized across three teams.• Introduced trunk-based development, ensuring frequent code integration and reducing the time from commit to deploy.• Back in 2018, led a large-scale refactoring of our data model to better represent joint venture partnerships, unlocking new product opportunities. This change to the core of our permissioning model was delivered incrementally and with zero downtime.

Part of the Sun Campus Ambassador Program, whose aim was to promote/evangelize Sun's open-source technologies on university campi, particularly Java, NetBeans and OpenSolaris.

Responsible for the software implementation and analysis of various motion estimation algorithms targeting high resolution digital video compression using the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC standard. This research was part of a joint effort by many universities to develop the Brazilian Digital Television System (SBTVD, or ISDB-Tb), and received financial support from CNPq.
