Commissioned to contribute to a volume on demography and fiscal sustainability in East Asia Pacific

Created an illustrative model of fiscal impacts of structural and parametric pension reforms in Central Asia. Authored internal report on social and minimum pensions around the world – the relevant concepts, the in-principle design, and the range of practice observed.

Head of analysis and briefing on working‐age & population‐wide poverty and income distribution; Quality assured National Statistics on poverty and incomes; Responsible for explaining income trends and their economic and tax-benefit context to ministers and senior officials across government; Model development and application of micro‐simulation modelling to project future poverty and static scenario-based policy impacts; Represented the UK at expert meetings of European Commission.

Conduced research on socio-economic trends affecting women, pension reforms across 38 countries over 20 years, changes 
in life expectancy and pension eligibility ages over 100 years, and comparing indexation policies with practice. Presented results at seminars, including at ISSA and OECD Working Party on Social Policy.

Analytical support for pensions bill introducing auto-enrolled private (Defined Contribution) pensions, including static‐deterministic modelling of financial outcomes of saving and analysis of dynamic model results; Produced drafting and analysis for publication; Commissioned and managed research consultants; Ran academic seminars series.

Conducted business planning and financial modelling for Royal Opera House; Provided input for economic impact report for East of England Development Agency; Assisted in running procurement process for multi-billion pound contract for Highways Agency and Department for Transport.
