I’m Rafat Fields, founder of Powered to Rise, a consultancy dedicated to helping Black women and other women of color advance their careers and step into leadership roles in healthcare. My mission is deeply personal: I want to see more women who look like me in decision-making positions, driving meaningful change in an industry that touches all of our lives.My journey began at Florida A&M University (FAMU), where I earned my MBA before launching my career at Pfizer in sales. Over the years, I transitioned into marketing, patient advocacy, and health equity roles. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the systemic challenges within healthcare and the pressing need for diverse voices at the table. In March of 2024, I took a leap of faith and left my corporate career to fully dedicate myself to building Powered to Rise.I’ve always believed that when women of color rise, the world benefits.
