Led comprehensive Facility Engineering operations encompassing Maintenance, Capital Projects, Energy Programs, Utilities, Compliance, and Safety. Directed the operation and was responsible for a team of 120 skilled technicians and a 6 member management team. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, compliance, and emergency services for up to 214 Retail Food locations and 145 fuel center locations. Other responsibilities also included: continuous improvement, construction management, associate performance evaluations and compensation planning, working with cross functional teams at the division and corporate levels to implement and execute operational initiatives. This role reported directly to the Division President.

Assisted in the management of all faucets of fuel center construction projects including: feasibility studies, due diligence, civil review, architectural review, scope development, estimating, bid analysis, contracts, as well as overseeing construction activities, training, and inspections. Trained and certified approximately 20 project managers in a company certification program allowing them to manage fuel construction projects. Responsible for helping to deliver between 60-80 fuel center locations for the company.

Responsibilities included managing multiple projects (from 10 to 40) during all facets of development and construction including: feasibility, due diligence, civil design, architectural design, permitting, zoning, construction, and opening. Delivered 40 fuel retail locations during my tenure which included working through rezoning, subdivision of parcels as well as numerous variance approvals through local municipalities.

Responsibilities include managing multiple projects (from 5 to 10 petroleum stations at a time) from ground breaking to store stocking. Perform contractor qualifications and meet with contractors in order to conduct bid evaluations for multiple projects. Create complete budgets and contracts for multiple ground up and demo/rebuild projects after the bid is awarded. Perform multiple tasks throughout various projects such as site visits, field inspections, managing Architects and Engineers during planning and permitting. Responsible for processing contractor payment applications and total budgeted project expenditures. Exercise continuous improvement by researching and evaluating variances and revisions to construction budgets.
