About Raffaele Fregonese

I am an expert in automotive technology with a focus on electric vehicle propulsion systems. My multi-year experience spans across concept design of hybrid and electric propulsion systems to find the optimal solution and multidisciplinary projects across propulsion and chassis systems. As an electric vehicle charging expert, I lead the design and definition of charging systems of vehicles, always considering the broader charging infrastructure.My expertise extends to project management, particularly in complex public funded projects. I have a rich background in chassis and vehicle dynamics, with class-leading expertise on vehicle dynamic simulators. Additionally, I have extensive experience in race car design and have served as a track engineer.I am proud to have been the Director of Formula SAE Italy from its inception, fostering the enthusiasm of students and guiding them through the Italian Event annually held since 2005.
