Experienced Economist and Researcher Specializing in Market Analysis and Criminal EconomicsWith a strong academic foundation in Economics and Business, she began her career as a tutor in the Master’s program for "Business, Internet, and Finance" at the University of Lecce, in partnership with Banca 121 (now Monte dei Paschi di Siena). In 2006, she earned a PhD in Economic and Quantitative Methods for Market Analysis, with a thesis exploring central banks' roles in monetary and supervisory policy.From 2006 to 2010, she conducted extensive research on legal and illegal markets, behavioral economics, and consumer finance, analyzing trends in the banking sector. Following a brief academic hiatus (2010-2015), she resumed her research, focusing on criminal economics. She has since served as principal investigator for two research projects in this field, delivering insights on financial laundering's impact on property prices using agent-based modeling in Python.Her technical expertise spans Python libraries such as Dowhy, EconML, and Scikit-learn, which she uses to drive her quantitative analyses. Currently, she is a fellow at the Baffi Center at Bocconi University and an adjunct professor in microeconomics and European economic integration at the University of Salento. She has also been a visiting researcher at the University of Italian Switzerland in Lugano and the Baffi Center for Economics, Finance, and Regulation.
