I was part of the Task Force for the organisation of the German EU - Presidency. I worked as “Liaison Officer” for Italian political delegations (the Prime Minister Romano Prodi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Massimo D’ Alema and their delegations) during followinginstitutional events: “The 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome”, EU-ASEAN meeting, Gymnich meeting and G8 summit 2007. I was the point of reference for:- the press in order to arrange interviews with the Ministries; - the press for the accreditation to press conferences held by the Ministries; - the members of other political delegations willing to arrange bilateral talks with the Ministries;- the political leaders of the “outreach” countries (Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Senegal and Ghana) willing to arrange bilateral talks with the Prime Minister during the G8 Summit.

My duties and responsibilities within the Press Office of the Minister of Tourism include: Daily press review of national and international newspaper and magazines looking for articles relevant to the tourism sector. Contribution to the organisation of interviews and press conferences involving the Minister of Tourism. Management of the contacts with national and international media. Conception and production of press releases (mainly in Italian, German and English) for national and international press agencies, institutions, magazines, newspapers, radios and TV channels.

September 2008 - January 2009: InternFebruary 2009- June 2009: Communication Consultant I was a member of the UN Disaster Reduction Unit (DRU) which develops Disaster Management Training Programmes (DMTPs). These programmes are directed to UN Country Teams, to local governments and to the civilians living in areas vulnerable to natural catastrophes or which have already been hit by them.My duties consisted in:- contributing to the meetings held by UNDP staff members together with representatives of other international organisations (World Vision International, Action of Churches Together, OCHA, World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, ILO etc.) in order to develop training materials (publications and workshops) about Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR);- helping by the actual production of publications and workshops (by writing, reviewing and finalising the texts before their publishing);- preparing workshops materials on DRR.- producing advocacy materials (flyers and brochures) with the aim of promoting UNDP activity in the field of DRR.
