Raffaello Sasson was born in Rome and obtained his Diploma in Cinematography and Directing in 1999 from the Istituto Superiore per la Cinematografia.He began his career as an assistant director before going on to direct musical videos and commercials. In 2002 he was a finalist in the ‘Giallo Mondadori’ competition with the mystery ‘Dolce Veleno dell’Inganno’. With the same title adapted for the theatre, he won an award for best text, which paved the way for his debut as a theatrical director. Pursuing his love of suspense, over the years he has earned recognition as author and director of the noir genre. In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles to work. In 2008 he directed the film ‘Hard Boiled – Appuntamento alle 11 in Punto’ an intense psychological thriller set in Alabama. In 2010 he wrote and directed the play ‘The Devil’, an historical thriller which takes place in late 19th cent.
