As an Undergraduate Student at The University of Texas' Naveen Jindal School of Management, I wish to see a vision realized. Ever since I understood how Excel worked, I've always believed it was possible to create a position within a company that could bridge the gap between data analytics and business management. While this position more or less already exists in today's world, I believe with the increasing accessibility of technology that arrives at each passing day, we are getting closer and closer to cutting out the need for both disciplines, and instead, combine them into one position, thus increasing margins, efficiency, and productivity for a company. If such a position has not been fully realized in today's world, I believe I could spearhead such an ideal, which led me to the Business Analytics major that I am currently taking. But with such a daunting task, what are my qualifications?When asked about my strengths, I always answer with a classic: Hard Worker. I'm currently taking an 8:30 AM class at UTD not because I'm insane, but because it was the only period left for that class, a class which I desperately wanted to take to advance my knowledge of business. I say all of this to demonstrate that I am willing to put in those extra hours to make sure a job is done to its highest standard, no matter how much coffee or Dr. Pepper needs to be consumed in the process. As a former student of the International Baccalaureate Program at Plano East Senior High School, I can also appreciate the value of multiple perspectives, as well as the importance of diversity and inclusivity. Delving into issues of varied origin reveals one's self to how differently people think, and the merits that come naturally with it. Therefore, in the context of a career, I believe it is critical to incorporate the all walks of life into a melting pot of progress that constantly churns out new, exciting, dishes, rather than limit that sort of mixing for fear of a bad dish. After all, a soup with just salt, pepper, and stock might be palatable, but who would favor that in comparison to the chef's new meal of the day? In the same way, new ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds need to naturally be incorporated into a business' culture.While I can not brag about my work experience in comparison to my peers, it is for that exact reason that I wish to be hired. My skillset includes project planning and execution, collaboration and communication, and more, yet I need more working experience to realize my vision of a better future. With your help, vision will become reality.
