My name is Rafif Pamenang Imawan from Indonesia. I have been working in the field of political science, both on the academic and practical field, for more than 10 years in the university and non-government organization. My working experiences including preparing and delivering course on methodology, conducting studies, managing national and local surveys, analysing survey results, formulating strategic policy recommendations, as well as negotiating and maintaining relations with strategic stakeholders.Currently, I am working at Populi Center as Program Manager and Researcher. Populi Center’s main activity is to conduct surveys and produce reliable survey results which serve as main reference for policy makers. During my work in Populi, I have been involved in conducting 136 surveys which include 23 national surveys, 109 local surveys, and also four quick count and exit polls. My role includes managing the surveys work, negotiating with potential donors, designing practical and tactical questionnaire, and presenting the results to various stakeholders in national and local levels. I graduated from Uppsala University, Sweden majoring in Master of Political Science where I learned about theories and practice on comparative politics, quantitative and qualitative analysis, social capitals, along with governance studies. I received my Bachelor Degree in Political Science with major in Government Studies from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, with the focus on electoral system and political parties. Additionally, I have contributed in two books with the title Ke Timur Haluan Menuju and Sudah Senja di Jakarta. For the first book, I did semi-ethnography in Ambon for 12 days in order to investigate the role of young generation in maintaining peace in post-conflict area, while for the second book, I did my research based on secondary data that I gathered from online sources. I am actively work with the General Election Supervisory Agency (BAWASLU) as a speaker and writer in promoting electoral integrity. I am also actively writing journal entries and publications. I recently concluded teaching as a guest lecturer in Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia.
