Project Design Engineer
CurrentCoordinating and Performing Electrical Engineering, Project management to ensure quality, timely and accurate engineering consultation, design, troubleshooting and customer support. • Perform testing and commissioning in workshop and site environments •Assisting TQ from the client and responding technically with all the relevant supporting documents. • Generating document deliverables such as DESD, DESB, EDS, EQPL, TEST, ITP, ITR, COMP, COMR, MDR, RAMS and all related documentation necessary for the design for each scope of work. • Provide functional direction to the engineering team chosen on a particular project to ensure alignment to standards, legislation, and functional systems. • Maintain a stance of Safety in Design and Simplicity in Design in all engineering functions. • Ensure that designs are peer reviewed and complete with all necessary documentation. Provide constructive process improvement inputs into the ongoing operations as part of the engineering team. Providing holistic approaches to solutions. • Ensuring customer satisfaction with the technical, functional effectiveness of the solutions presented. •Perform effective time management and verbal/ written communication to ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and on budget. Ensure engineered work packages are delivered to project managers and the manufacturing division to the agreed quality and within the scheduled dates. • Ensure designs are reviewed and standardized where practical unless directed by the customer, implement the concepts of modular design Performing Project Management across multiple disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil).
