Development and implementation of the world’s first 3g mobile location platform (in-car navigation). £120M programmed to build the world’s largest Oracle GIS (Geographical Information Systems) database to support a 3g network, location based data and media presentations. Worked as part of a managed team of up to 125 staff and multiple suppliers to help deliver this work. This resulted in the provision of the world’s first in-car navigation system on a mobile phone utilising the 3g operating licence purchased by Hutchison Whampoa. Co-ordinate with the Project Managers, Product Managers and System Analysts to analysis requirements and use cases Assisted with development of requirements Co-ordinate with the Technical Leads/ Developers and Senior DBA’s for necessary walkthrough’s of the requirements and coding Responsible for analysing quality of data sets and testing once merged with OS co-ordinates Testing code produced by DBA’s on databases before release for front end testing

Development of a software solution, comprising of an OCR(Optical Character Recognition) front end through a Direct Sales Management System, National Sales Call Centre system and through to the billing system for the launch of an electricity contract sales system. The system was developed to support 2 million electricity sales per year and designed to support 1,500 sales people across the country, paying them commissions based on differing commission structures and by multiple products. Review of Functional specifications, creation of Test Plan, scripts & Test Estimates, Approval of estimates & scheduling test execution  Worked closely with the third party s/w supplier on development and testing of code and interfaces Liaised with other internal teams re interfaces into the sales and billing systems Worked with other third party supplier using Winrunner as the data loader mechanism Extensive testing of overnight automated batch runs with the production team Co-ordination with Environment team to set up Compatibility Test Environment for various Operating System  Allocation of tasks to the team members Review of test scripts Co-ordination of test case execution in System Integration test Defect Management & Co-ordination & defect meetings with the offsite development team Defect review telecons with the developers, project manager and business managers Weekly visits to Call Centre at Cardiff to assist the management of the implementation team Produced a detailed user requirements specification for a Commissions system for use by all eight of the British Gas Trading sales offices.
