Strategically used a crank slider mechanism to act as a latch when closed & backdrivable when open, enabling push to close sensitivity using encoders. - Designed electromechanical systems for Cybertruck by sizing actuators for optimal torque-RPM, developing quadrature encoder sensing, bearings & bushings.- Led integration of the Cybertruck Instrument Panel by designing the cross car beam which carried the LV Harness, Steering Column, Display & Airbags.- Researched & sourced for mass production an aromatic nylon + recycled carbon fiber resin which was lightweight, stiff & resistant to thermal/moisture conditioning. Used this resin to design the Cybertruck Steering Column Bracket, industry standard are heavier & more expensive aluminum castings or steel extrusions. -

See the link of the Instagram Reel Tesla posted of this mechanism.- Achieved a dual-edge-tilt kinematic of the display using 2 diverging linear actuated systems coupled by 4 trapezoidal rotational joints. - Packaged motors within a dense Instrument Panel & designing the gear reduction plus mechanisms mechanical advantage to generate adequate torque, while having sensing resolution. Collaborated with LV & Firmware engineers to ensure mechanism friction allowed for sensing via current spikes to obstacle detect & dual encoders to find true position.

Used the FEA software Intact Solutions developed to design consumer and automotive products.- Programmed parametric design study of an excavator bucket. User specifies the excavator bucket's use case, FEA is run iteratively to optimize weight, bracket design, wall thickness, tooth design and volumetric capacity, presenting the user with a suggested CAD model.- Optimized the design for a prosthetic lower limb to suit differing use cases.- Developed FEA software for electrostatic simulation relating capacitance, voltage and charge. Used an understanding for Dirchelet, Neumann boundary conditions, basis functions and stiffness matrices to decouple the weak integral form into matrix form. -
