UPTU WATCH (www.uptuwatch.com) was conceived as a multi-channel educational infomedia platform engaging the various stakeholders (regulator, edupreneurs, acadministrators, faculty, students, alumni & employers) in the higher techno-managerial education. UPTU WATCH catered to the multifarious requirements (Admissions, Academics, Training, Projects, Placements) of Techno-Managerial Education in the state of Uttar Pradesh by bridging the multifarious information asymmetries. Within 14 months of its inception UPTU WATCH emerged as a strong platform of convergence, advocacy & action gaining tremendous accolades from all quarters. We published 10 monthly issues of UPTU WATCH magazine on pertinent themes concerning techno-managerial education in Uttar Pradesh. We published comprehensive and information rich engineering admissions guide, management admissions guide and pharmacy admissions guide for the first time in Uttar Pradesh. We initiated a large number of programmes in the domain of employability enhancement, synergizing techno-managerial education with local developmental needs and enhancing the gross enrollment ratio in technical education in Uttar Pradesh. We organized a number of seminars & conferences on multifarious aspects like Employability in Real Estate Sectory, Information Asymmetry & Employability Gap, celebrated the decadal foundation day of UPTU, School Connect programmes to bring the schools of a district (including the UP board ones) closer to the technical colleges of that region. We built up a number of partnerships and alliances with organizations like NASSCOM NRC, UP IAS Association, Tie UP etc. and eventually merged with the digitalLEARNING magazine in April 2011. My experiment of synergizing techno-managerial education with local developmental needs took me to the BSA College of Engineering & Technology (www.bsacet.org) whereby I got involved in the all round planning and development of the college which comprised of optimizing the effective utilization of its Infrastructure, strengthening its Intellectual Capital through various programmes, revamping its Interface with multifarious agencies and streamlining its Governance Structure.I successfully defined complete governance framework for the institution defining the scope of work and KPIs from highest to lowest hierarchy.I streamlined the resource and infrastructure utilization for the institution on GIS platform.I designed an Intellectual Capital Framework to encourage the faculty to contribute more for the IP growth of the organization. I was successful in implementing NPTEL (National Program for Technology Enabled Learning) to enable the faculty to interact with the IIT and IISc faculty, and build a platform for suitable transfer of knowledge.I designed the TPP (TRAINING – PROJECT – PLACEMENT) model that increased the employability quotient of the students giving them a strong techno-managerial background.Besides this I was involved in a large number of other interventions at the college including the creation of an Information Management Group to make college self-sufficient in managing its hardware and software needs.
