Being sister concern of TVS MOTOR COMPANY, SCL supplies aluminium castings for two wheeler manufacturing plants of TVS My Key responsibilities as Customer Service engineer at TVS were:• Coordinating with Customer & Parent company for new product design & development.• Liaisoning between Design team & customer for executing design modifications in existing products (Engine casting parts eg: Crank cases, Cylinder heads etc.)• Validating Fit, assembly & performance of the newly developed aluminium casting parts by experimenting at machining cells, engine & vehicle assembly lines.• Organizing Discussions at Foundry to address customer complaints• Customer complaint analysis using QC Tools (Japanese methodologies), root cause determination, Initiating corrective actions & implementing POKA-YOKE system wherever applicable to kill defects & finally presenting CAPA to customer.• Monitoring of customer end machining line rejections (MSN), taking corrective measures to reduce the same.To summarize, It was a key position dealing as a ‘single window contact’ between two organizations in realizing new products & customer complaint resolving which necessarily require technical expertise & excellent technical communication skills.
