DCIM is a set of 10 critical skills which empowers a student to:- Make the best use of Internet in education & career, and- Stay safe from online threats & dangers.Hope you can sense, why I call it the #Most_Important_Subject :)It's now more than a decade since I created this category of education in India, and dedicated my professional life to it. Some key milestones during this journey have been designing an open curriculum, authoring a book and developing an online course on Digital Citizenship & Internet Maturity. All three are India's 1st. The book is titled "Become an iMature Student", the course is called "Digital Citizenship & Internet Maturity Powers" and the curriculum is a free & open curriculum for schools to teach DCIM to teenage students. State Cyber Police and the Governor's House in MP have utilised my expertise as a DCIM counsellor, and more than 60 other schools & colleges across India have helped me cross the mark of 100 seminars & talks for making their students & teachers Internet mature. My entrepreneurship journey started in 2006, with iBranch.in as my first EdTech startup. Running long distances and occasional half-marathons keep me fitting into my old trousers. I am deeply passionate about 21st century education, digital transformation of schools, and the future of work... and that's why I am homeschooling my son :)
