Daimler Financial Services India (DFSI) is the captive financier of India's #1 luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes Benz (MB) & the fast growing Indian CV manufacturer, Bharat Benz (BB). As part of a dual reporting structure (India S&M head & Global Digital team based out of Stuttgart), I built strategy & implemented solutions around: - Increasing MB & BB presence to relevant customers online and the systems (front end & backend) required to provide a superior experience befitting the brand. - Preparing road maps for best in class credit automation solutions (Process & product) allowing the existing teams to communicate real time with dealers & consumers with an aim to effect faster disbursal of a loan. - Evaluated and started implementing best in class sales enablement tools to link HQ with dealers & sales teams across the country

I founded & grew the Auto Finance (New Car & New Bike) business for India’s largest conglomerate of auto portals (CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com, Zigwheels.com & BikeDekho.com) backed by Sequoia, Google, Ping An & Hill house capital.As a part of this journey, we (a 150+ tech, product, strategy, sales & ops team built from scratch) scaled revenue to $1.5 Mn + in 2 years (Profitable) and succeeded in building out the following businesses:* Conceptualized & launched India's first fully integrated 4W finance marketplace and 2W finance marketplace. End result: A customer could compare loans while researching their car and be directed to a dealers to complete the loan backed transaction (with a backend CRM integrating bank, dealer & customer).* Established partnerships with leading Private and Public sector banks, including equity investments from a leading bank (HDFC Bank, Subsequently Axis Bank & a third undisclosed bank)* Built solutions; mobile applications, core & ancillary systems for key financiers in India (HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Leaseplan & several others).

I was responsible for generating revenue by managing large corporate relationships (Annual revenue > $ 500 Mn)Conceptualized and placed various debt and trade products across India's leading companies. Also ensured cross sell of cash management, treasury, retail and equity products. Day to day work involved:* Servicing existing clients. Understanding their needs & appraising various deals from a technical and financial perspective.*Carrying out sensitivity analysis on Financial models to ensure debt serviceability. * Preparing and presenting detailed credit risk memorandums and structured finance proposals to the MD, CBO & CRO for approval of lines exceeding $ 500 Mn* Business development & new client acquisition.

Worked alongside senior advisors to construct a working understanding of econometric modelling and Public Private Partnership models used by the Government of India on a day to day basis.Used raw data, built inflation forecasts for the coming year after taking into consideration seasonal effects

To pay the bills whilst at LSE, I generated betting odds for various live sporting events. I was a very junior bookkeeper! Using probability and numerical models I computed betting odds based on dynamic real-time match conditions. More importantly, this was my first 8-10 hours a day, 3-4 days a week 'job' surrounded by smart and fun people.
