Integrated and extended an existing application (Resume Builder) written in a combination of PERL and PRO*C/C++ to provide a Centralized repository of resumes utilized by job applicants and agency recruiters located throughout the world. The previous application consisted of a hodgepodge of applications/interfaces that attempted to placate regional business rules and methodologies. The regional applications were streamlined into a single application that simplified the application process while easing the burden on agency recruiters to process applicant information. Re-structured and converted the Resume Builder system utilizing Java technologies including Enterprise Java Beans integrating the finished application into the Office of Personnel Management's One Stop Human Resources system. Developed and extended the public and agency application interfaces to the Civilian Personnel Office's Vacancy Announcement system at first utilizing PERL and PRO*C/C++ and then converting the application into a Java web-based application. The agency application for the Vacancy Application system enabled authorized Human Resource personnel to create and post employment announcements to the Army's public web portal and to the Office of Personnel Management's Announcement System. Additionally, developed and maintained a public interface to the Vacancy Announcement system that enabled outside users to search for and apply to announcements through the Army's public web portal. Designed and/or modified existing Human Resource applications that performed administrative and workflow process management.

Internal users utilized the system to approve/disapprove applications for Proposal Grants and to manage existing grants. The system enabled proposals and grants to follow a well-established workflow of approvals and included group collaborative capabilities. The system included enhanced uploading/downloading capabilities for PDFs, Spreadsheets, Documents, and other raw data related to the proposal/grant process. Work included the modification of PostScript data definition files, DDL of stored procedures for a Sybase database system, and CGI/Java programs.
