At 2degrees we focus on impact investment.I previously worked as a Financial Accountant at SummitWest Environmental. SummitWest is an environmental consulting group that services the SouthWestern region of the United States. At SummitWest, I performed general accounting duties, such as maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, monthly closing, and preparing financial reports. I also worked closely with the CFO to conduct financial analysis, cash management, and forecasting. We met weekly to discuss and dissect the status of the company and present our suggestions and analyses to the COO and the CEO of SummitWest. Additionally, I coordinated and supported the project managers in efficiently scoping out budgets, tracking project costs, and outlining methods to maximize project profitability. I interacted and manipulated data daily in Excel, Google Sheets, and Transaction Pro. I understand how to fix and create Macros and Scripts in Excel and Sheets. I find my strengths lie in data organization and manipulation, creative mathematics, and solutions-oriented tenacity.Prior to SummitWest, I interned at two groups involved in the private market: Altman AI and Draper B1. Altman AI was a fast paced and dynamic startup company which created an innovative data toolset to help with Private Market analysis. The tools developed at Altman AI allowed users to effectively manage, research, and track thousands of private market funds. At Altman, I conducted data analytics and extraction of private fund data for classification modeling and forecasting. Altman AI was acquired in 2022 by PEI Group. Draper B1 is a venture capital group based out of Valencia, Spain. I largely assisted in managing and auditing their database, ensuring that their financials and sensitive data were being accurately tracked.I attended Davidson College where I majored in Economics, minored in Studio art, and graduated with honors cum laude. In college, I was a kicker for the Davidson Wildcats. In college I gained moderate proficiency in SAS, R, and a basic understanding of Python. My creative and economic mindset, combined with my fundamental understanding of coding languages, allows me to construct and use complex formulas and models.
