As one of five undergraduate students on the ALMA Core team, we were tasked with organizing the necessary logistics for a large-scale 4-day overnight welcome program for 90 incoming Latine students. I was responsible for focusing on participant connectivity and managing the $40,000 budget. Overall, we refocused program goals to reflect the needs of a wider audience with diverse financial and cultural backgrounds and increased participation by about 40% from the year prior.
