As the Director of the Finance Operations Center at the University of Minnesota, I have successfully launched operations of our shared services finance center. I managed the development and implementation of standardized processes, systems and protocols to streamline financial operations across the University system.In this leadership position I served in a pivotal role overseeing and managing the centralized core functions of finance and accounting activities and responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the organization. I was involved in strategic leadership, organizational development, and operational excellence to support the financial backbone of the University of Minnesota system. Through my expertise and guidance, and most importantly with the collaboration of our team, the Finance Operations Center plays a critical role in advancing the institution's financial objectives and facilitating its broader mission.In addition to promoting and optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with financial policies and contributing to the overall financial health and sustainability of the University, my responsibilities encompassed recruitment, training, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
