Packaging Technician
CurrentSafety• Comply with all aspects of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario as well as Apotex policies,and procedures• Participate in the internal safety audits to promote a safety culture• Assist in the process of incident and accident investigation and root cause identification• Recommend actions to improve workplace safety Quality• Ensure the team’s quality awareness and focus at all times• Participate in the internal Quality audits and follow up on the identified action items• Join in the investigation process of quality deviations using effective problem-solving skills• Maintain the quality of all packaging documentation (paper & electronic) and reduce the cycle time• Perform quality checks, following relevant SOD’s• Interact with In-Process Quality Assurance members (QAIP), and participate in continuousimprovement initiativesProductivity / Equipment• Lead the team to execute Packaging Orders (PO) at or above operation targets, following the companySOD’s and regulatory requirements• Direct team members and participate in operating the current packaging equipment withinspecifications• Reconcile the packaging orders with proper handling of components, bulk, and / or waste, followingproper SOD’s• Lead the sanitation process and participate in the equipment set-ups to ensure an effective and efficientoperation changeover• Conduct basic troubleshooting of the entire packaging operations• Lead the team to consistently deliver the expected business results with resource efficiency andminimum waste• Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.• Demonstrate Behaviours that exhibit our organizational Values: Collaboration, Courage, Perseverance,and Passion.• Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics andCompliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, andHR policies.• All other relevant duties as assigned.
