I am a physician-scientist fellow in Hematology/Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and I am completing my postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Gerd Blobel MD, PhD at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I completed my medical education at the University of Illinois as a James Scholar, an ASH HONORS recipient, and a HHMI Medical Research Fellow in the laboratory of John Crispino, PhD at Northwestern University. I am interested in how aberrancies in fundamental mechanisms governing the cell cycle (such as transcriptional regulation/chromatin architecture, oncogenic signaling pathways, and tumor metabolism) can disrupt normal hematopoiesis and drive tumorigenesis with the goal of ultimately identifying new therapeutic targets. My clinical interests are in hematologic malignancies and bone marrow failure disorders.
