I have been placed in a community namely Alisingha Uriamguri,Panchmile,Tezpur as concurrent field work in my first year.I am strictly asked to spend 14 hours in every week in the field and ask to work on different problems.• During this one year, I have the freedom to understand the community fully about its problem, availability of government schemes,meeting with stakeholders,visiting schools,PHC,ASHA,anganwadi,outpost so on and so forth. • I have also used different PRA tools such resource mapping, seasonal calendar to understand the community. • Done casework and group work during my concurrent field work.• Have done several awareness programme such as substance abuse, hygiene and sanitation, moral education etc.• Have celebrated World Alzheimer Day, World Literacy Day, International Women's Day, Child Sexual Prevention Month etc.• Presented a photo essay on Dropouts on a national seminar organized my department of sociology, Tezpur University

ICCW is now renamed as Assam Child and Women Welfare Society and I've been placed in a project called 'Open Shelter for Boys' where children in need for care and protection are being provided permanent home until the age of 18 years. As an intern, I am allowed to associate with the children and has to engage them in several activities such as art and craft, games etc. I also have been tutoring them according to their ages.
