I have completed my PhD. at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India and obtained my PhD degree on the topic " Sterculia foetida; Eco-friendly, cost-effective and rich sources of nutritious edible oil, animal food supplements as well as biofuel and to evaluate its antimicrobial and cytotoxic efficacy by comparing with other edible vegetable oils to validate its pharmaceutical application" under the guidance of Dr Suparna Mandal Biswas (Associate Professor) of Agriculture and Ecological Research Unit, Biological Sciences Division.During my PhD. dissertation work, I performed research on Phytochemistry and have co-authored 7 peer-reviewed journal articles in a highly esteemed international journal that is included in my CV.I have worked as a project assistant on a project titled " Identification of Epigenetic biomarkers in oral pre-cancer and Cancer patients from Eastern India ", under the guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Raghunath Chatterjee at the Human Genetics Unit of Biological Sciences Division of Indian Statistical Institute during the period from 1st August 2015- 31st March 2017. I have also worked as a Project Associate under Professor Arunava Goswami in the DBT project titled " Commercial Scale Production of Nanopesticides and Nano Fungicides for Indian agro industry" from the date 1st July 2014 to 31st March 2015 at the Agriculture and Ecological Research Unit of Biological Sciences Division of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. I am ready to apply to work as a Research Scientist. I would like to explore the possibility of undergoing research training in biotechnology and molecular biology in academic institutes and reputed companies in India and abroad.
