My job responsibilities includes method development and validation of analytical methods (UHPLC/HPLC, Cell based assays) used for bio-similar molecules. I am also involved in understanding the Structure Function Relationship by using various Characterization methods.

Currently working as a Research Scientist in Analytical Research Development Team (ADT) at Lupin Ltd, Pune, India. My job responsibilities includes method development and validation of analytical methods (UHPLC/HPLC, Cell based assays) used for bio-similar molecules. I am involved in writing SOP’s and STP’s, Development Reports, Protocols and Technology transfer of Analytical Test Methods to Quality Control Department.

Thesis Title: Characterization and Assessment of Differential proteome in patients with Acute Respiratory InfectionAs a part of my Research, I have worked extensively on Influenza viruses at Department of Virology, Haffkine Institute, Mumbai. I was involved in diagnostics of Influenza viruses during the influenza H1N1 pandemic spread globally in the year 2009-10. For my Ph.D project, I have worked on Influenza viruses and tried to search out for new diagnostic marker through differential proteomics approach. Through Mass Spec based proteomics we presented the first report of the upper respiratory proteome study in Influenza infection in Indian population (PMID: 28466033; DOI:10.1007/s13337-016-0332-x and PMID: 25560001; DOI:10.4103/0255-0857.148376). We identified biomarkers in the host which can be used for non-invasive diagnostic methods (nasal swabs) in Influenza and other diseases.

Thesis Title: To study the prevalence of Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) drug resistance in HIV patients M.Sc. dissertation project involved working on blood samples to study the drug resistance in first and second line regimen of drugs in HIV patients.1. 20 HIV infected patients samples were used2. 3TC+EFFA+D4T was found to be effective than AZT+3TC+EFFA combination3. Several new studies evaluating cross-resistance between zidovudine and stavudine were presented.
