University Health Network (UHN) is one of Canada's largest health systems spanning ten hospital sites across the city of Toronto. UHN is a pioneer in medical research and innovation, to provide the highest patient care. In forward with this principle of innovation, on June 4th, UHN transitioned to the EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Health Information System (HIS) to improve patient care, safety and wait times. Highlights: - Provided on-call support to clinical and non-clinical end-users in the Preoperative and Post- operative care areas- Cross-trained on OpTime and Epicare system modules for the placements at the surgical units - Facilitated end-user learning through one-on-one educational sessions and provided tip sheets to navigate the system- Effectively communicated with the command centre and management to escalate system issues, by utilizing ServiceNow and creating weekly reports- Promoted to ATE Team Lead and led a team of 6 other ATEs in the unit- Gained clinical shadowing experience through the interactions of nurses, residents and fellows; often went to Operating Room to provide EPIC support and observe surgeries

Sunnybrook Health Science Centre is a premier institute for medical research and innovation. It is Canada's largest trauma centre providing urgent care to trauma victims across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Sunnybrook's P.A.R.T.Y program spearheads various research and educational resources in the injury prevention space targeting youth. Highlights: - Learned about various injury prevention interventions and strategies in a community setting (ex. Haddon's Matrix) - Conducted literature reviews and analyses to articulate the various social determinants of health factors that impact the rates of injury in the community - Proposed and presented the Peer Pressure Education (PPE) program by analyzing 200+ surveys of elementary students (grades 7 and 8) using statistical tools- Attended clinical workshops on injury treatment and Sunnybrook's trauma response team- Participated in the "Injury Not Equal" podcast through the "Let's Talk Brown" segment by independently researching South Asian injury and substance abuse issues
