Public health based research focus on assessing health education deficits in minority populations and assessing large scale mental health impacts of traumatic events. Work in the public health domain with Dr. Nicole Cook. Studied level of understanding of cardiovascular health in Asian Indian community in South Florida with the goal of developing educational material to address disparities in knowledge of cardiovascular health.Lead investigator of study investigating mental health effects of COVID-19 social distancing.Working with Dr. Nancy Klimas and Dr. Nicole Cook on a study aiming to estimate the risk of long-term ME/CFS-like symptoms following infection of COVID-19, also known as long COVID or post-COVID conditions (PCC). The study includes longitudinal follow-up of patients for three years.

Researched the significance of the cell surface receptor c-Kit in the cell differentiation process and in the role of cancer metastasis. Studied a more effective therapy regimen for secretory carcinoma and fibrosarcoma of ETV6-NTRK3 fusion origin.

Worked with Dr. Pratap Challa in the field of ophthalmology with a focus on glaucoma. Study the ability of neutarsudil, a rho-kinase inhibitor, to rapidly reverse steroid-induced ocular hypertension in glaucoma patients whose intraocular pressures were uncontrolled by standard glaucoma medication. Performed research under the direction of Dr. Sonia Barua in Dr. Appu Rathinavelu's cancer drug laboratory at the Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute (non-profit 501(c)(3)). Performed testing on the recently patented anti-angiogenic drugs F16 and JFD to obtain drug stability, degradation, and absorption information. Worked alongside Dr. Sonia Barua in the development of a targeted drug delivery mechanism using liposomes to carry JFD and F16.

Worked with Dr. Abraham Pinter, at the Public Health Research Institute, in Newark, NJ. Study the affinity of tuberculosis antibodies for lipoarabinomannan (LAM) and other surface glycolipids associated with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Perform antibody gene sequencing of antibodies with high selective affinity to LAM.Received funding for project from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
