Mozambique

Handling a Large Finance team of more than 40 professionals. This role required extensive interface with external counter parts like financial institutes, Audit & tax departments, Government ministries, Legal & Consulting Firm, NGO’s & Donor Organisations. Business in Mozambique included 7 Manufacturing facilities and multiple storage locations for 5 different commodity operations. The spread of business included activities from Farming to Manufacturing/ processing to large scale local distribution business. Volatile Currency & weak economic situation of the country made it even more crucial to manage exposures proactively.

London, United Kingdom

Product FC for sugar & sweetners division, Sugar Manufacturing & trading is a large volume business with its presence in more than 15 countries across 4 continents. Total investment of USD 120 Million (approx.) in manufacturing assets in South East Asia, & an investments pipe line of USD 500 Million in Latin America & Africa. The role involved building finance & risk management team do deal with all complexities of the trading business.

Russia

Handling the financial integration for a Joint Ventured entered in between Olam & Rusmolco (A Russian Company) .This was an JV with intial outlay of USD 75 Million and a further potential outlay of $ 400 Million in 7 dairy farms with more than 20,000 milking cattle & more than 130,000 Hectares of agricultural land. This was first of its kind of investment with Olam having limited experience in dairy farming business.

Cameroon

West African Region is one of the most important region for the group with the organisation having huge investment plans in the region. In Cameroon the company has 4 legal entities with its main focus of origination, secondary processing and export of cocoa & coffee. Olam is the largest Non-oil based exporter from the country and also among the top to importers for rice & dairy products. We also had a Joint Venture with ADM for processing of Cocoa Beans.

São Paulo Area, Brazil

FM for Sugar & Cotton Business based out of Sao Paulo office. Business included exports in excess of $ 400 MN, with a risk management portfolio in excess of $ 150 MN.
