1. Leading the Plant Vehicle Team which is responsible for Product Quality improvement through Field & Plant Design Concerns resolution 2. Field Concerns / Warranty Analysis – - Resolution of concerns arising out of ‘External and Internal Quality Indicators’ - Warranty data analysis - Repair Per Thousand (R/1000) & Cost Per Unit (CPU) - Interactions with Internal agencies i.e. Product Development, Supplier Quality, Vendor Development for Warranty analysis and implementation of improvement action plan - Warranty Cost settlement 3. Co-ordinate the Engineering changes in current products till implementation. 4. Participation in new project development to provide feedback on Product Performance 5. IATF Certification - Department Representative for IATF16949 6. Metallurgical Analysis 7. Participate & Update in leadership reviews

Component Development Work in close coordination with CRE & materials and the supplier for component development for all metallurgical aspects (including Forgings, Casting, Heat Treated Parts etc.)- New Developed parts inspection & based on the results Co-ordinate the improvement activities with SQIP2. Supplier Quality Improvement:- Define and conduct process audits & process qualification at suppliers end to ensure adherence to the agreed processes.- Identify improvement areas and work with supplier to correct the same 3. Quality Assurance:- Metallurgical Inspection of incoming Parts i.e. Forging : Crankshaft, Connecting Rod etc…Casting : Cylinder Block, Cylinder Head, Flywheel Housing etc… Heat Treated parts : Gears, Shafts, and Fasteners etc…- Steel inspection at steel mill for critical components like Crankshaft, Connecting rod, Gears - Inspection & control of in-house induction hardening of crankshafts, Camshaft- Rubber Parts : O Rings.4. Responsible for Day To Day Inspection activities in Stds. Room & Metallurgy dept.Metallurgy Section - Metallography - Microscope & Image Analyser- Spectroscopy - Spectrometer- Case Depth Measurement - Micro Vickers Hardness Tester- Tensile Testing - Universal Tensile Testing Machine- Hardness Testing – Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Rebound- Rubber Testing –Identification, Hardness Testing, Tensile Testing, Compression set testing, Ageing Test.Standards Room Section- Contour testing- Roundness testing- Surface Finish Testing- Calibration of gauges.5. Warranty Analysis - To conduct the field failure analysis & defining the corrective actions. Co-ordinate the improvement activities with SQIP.6.
