I am a recent Master’s graduate in Computer Science from Northeastern University. My primary interests are software engineering, system design, distributed systems and artificial intelligence.Building stuff, especially taking something from its infancy and making it into something mature, stable and fully capable is how I would define an ideal role for me. Making decisions at every step, visualising the project's future, and making something of quality and value, something I can be proud of, are things that would excite me in a position. I love learning new stuff, either as part of my job or on my own. I like taking initiative and am not afraid to express my thoughts and ideas. I am also a firm believer in being language/framework agnostic and believe as an engineer I can pick up and learn any language or framework on the fly to get the job done.During my Master’s program, I interned with a networking company in California, where I worked as a Java full-stack developer on their lawful intercept management tool.In my last semester, I worked on a team to build a chatbot used to answer FAQ questions on my university’s website. I helped design the entire backend service for the chatbot. I helped upgrade it from a simple Flask Application to a distributed and containerised application orchestrated with Docker Swarm.Before I came to the US to pursue my Masters, I received my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from India. I then worked for an IT company in India for a little more than 3 years, during which I worked with a pharmaceutical client doing database/server management and helped support their production CRM tool to manage their medical representatives. That is when I decided to pursue my Masters in Computer Science, which led me to where I am now.
