I am currently working with Softenger India PVT LMT as Linux System Administrator from last 2 years.I have mentioned my roll and responsibility & you can see.Roll & Responsibilities :• To Monitor and followup on various major & critical alerts of servers and escalate to respective team & incident management. • Work on incident tickets (BMC Remedy tool ).• LINUX Installation of all OS version.• LVM : To create mount point, Increase & Decrease the size of mount point as per requirement & resolve file system issues.• Provide sudo access as per requièrent.• Resolve kernel panic and Grub issues.• Configure the local repository.• Create network bonding of ethernet device ( Link aggregation ).• Configure KDUMP on server.• Upgrade the kernel version server.• Hardening.• Password less SSH configuration.• X11 configuration.• NTP configuration.• NFS configuration.• To perform activity like, OS Patching,. Firmware Upgrade Memory replacement / addition as per requirement. Storage Migration Activity.• Check storage multipath & troubleshoot the related issue during SAN path separation activity. • Use basic commands of SAN storage multipath.• Handled four OS patching cycles successfully.• Hardware refresh activity.• OS Backup : Take DUMP, CBMR & REAR backup.• troubleshoot various issue like load average, swap issue, high CPU utilization etc.• Analyze NMON report of problematic server.• Knowledge of Incident Management Tools : Raise incident, change request, service request.• Make DNS entry as per requirement.• Make entry in crontab.• Give temporary root access to normal user.• Set kernel tuning parameter.• To set ulimit parameter as per requirement.• To make the shell scripts for gather the servers information.• To break root password if unable login to system.• Time stamp configuration.• Knowledge of IBM GPFS.
