As a general partner of Everest Wireless Partners I LP and president of Telcom Ventures (co owned by the The Carlyle Group ), Rahul has been involved as an early investor in companies such as Aether Technologies (AETH), XM Satellite radio (XMSR), LCCI (LCCI), Teligent (TGNT), Cellcom USA, Always on Network, etc. During his term at Telcom Ventures, (i) the value of its portfolio reached over $2.5 billion and (ii) he was instrumental in negotiating the exit of Telcom Ventures' spectrum holdings in Latin America to Nextel, for over $250 million. Rahul served on the board of 3 US public companies such as Aether Technologies (AETH), Teligent (TGNT), and Global Services Acquisition Corporation (GSPAC). Rahul has also personally invested in technology and outsourcing companies in the area. More recently, he exited from one of the companies he co-founded in the healthcare analytics space, Binary Fountain to other large PE investors.
