Analyzed drone battery thermal management, opting for Phase Change Material (PCM) with heat pipes (HP) for -15°C to 60°C temperatures. Using COMSOL Multiphysics, I simulated a battery module with heat pipes and soya wax, achieving a 26.5% temperature reduction at a 5C discharge rate. The innovative system of heat pipes and sinks ensured stable battery temperatures during discharge.

Worked as a Student Research Associate in the PULSE Laboratory, Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering, IITK under guidance of Prof. Kanwar Singh Nalwa. I worked on Liquid Cooled thermal management system for 71, 18650 type Li-batteries motivated from the Tesla S model. We planned to employ the established thermal model of battery to simulate thermal behaviour of practical large-capacity EV battery packs and to design and optimize the channelled liquid-flow-based BTMS in the future work.

I was selected for the OCTANE Summer Intern, Bajaj Auto Ltd (May’22 – July 22). My research and development engineer job involved extensive analysis of conventional Body In White roof joining (Resistance Welding) and searching for new methods (Laser Welding). I also worked on validating the newly proposed method, i.e., Laser Brazing, in Component Development Lab (CDL) at Bajaj Auto.

I also was selected for Student Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE-2019) IITK. I worked at the Experimental Mechanics Laboratory, ME IITK under the guidance of Prof. P. Venkitanarayanan. I performed numerical modelling and simulation of Aluminium Foam material. It gave me the experience of establishing relations between experiments and numerical modelling.
