About Rahul Yates
As a sophomore at Harvard College pursuing a double concentration in Economics and South Asian Studies, I am interested in a career in finance and international development. More specifically, given that India is on-track to be the world's third largest economy by 2030, I would like to explore the ways in which American firms can tap into this rapid growth and create a mutually-beneficial economic relationship between the two countries. Given my mixed-race, second generation Indian-American background, extensive knowledge of Indian culture, politics, and society, and strong qualitative/quantitative analysis skills, I believe that I have a unique set of abilities to navigate both the Indian and American markets and help connect the two. Thus, in addition to traditional finance roles, I am interested in roles at firms that invest in emerging economies like India and businesses with growing presences in South Asia.
