Being the VP of a student accommodation is a unique and special experience. Firstly, being the VP I got to know literally everyone at the hall, most of the hall residents from different backgrounds, religions and countries. My duties were to work closely with the President of the JCR (Junior Common Room) Committee at Newark Hall (My first year accommodation hall on campus). I had to organise weekly meetings with all the members of the committee and set up agendas for the following week. I also worked well with the Activites Rep of the JCR and organised socials and formal events like the Freshers Formal, Christmas Formal and Summer Ball. Overall, it was a great learning experience and our committee was successful at the job and made the first year at Newark a memorable experience for all.
