I’m a visual artist/ creative director/ designer/ Illustrator. I currently design promotional assets for the Netflix product across different titles in APAC. The most fun part about my role is I get to explore different forms of art to create a seamless experience for Netflix Members. This involves creativity driven by data and insights, that helps Members choose the right title for them to watch, at the right moment. In my past life, I started off as a Piping Designer for Nitrogen plants at Linde (formerly known as BOC), after I graduated from college as a Mechanical Engineer. However, I realised my passion lies in the creative industry and Entertainment in specific. It took me a long time, but I was finally able to change paths. After 9 years of working as a Piping Engineer, I finally left my full time job and became a freelancer, as a visual artist. I spend a 3 years pursuing my passion and working with clients across the globe, as a freelancer. And eventually the Universe conspired to find me my dream role at Netflix.
