Once upon a time, I found myself at a crossroads in the vast world of sales. Over eight years, I led SDR teams at companies like Whatfix, Chargebee, VWO, Salesken, Slintel, and Avataar. I noticed something striking: only one company truly invested in training its SDRs. Most just paired a new recruit with their star player, hoping skills would magically transfer. But this method had a flaw. New reps missed the foundational steps, learning only the end tricks without understanding the journey. It made me think. The best athletes train every day for hours.
