Any moving object always piqued my interest throughout my childhood. In fact, my parents always called me an engineer because I would break open cars and other mechanical toys to understand how they worked. Thus, upon graduating from school, I pursued my interest in mechanical engineering. Within this vast field, I realized that I excelled at creating new ideas and concepts and pursued my specialization in product design. Working for a couple of years in a product design role helped me understand that project management and product designing offered me a unique perspective on delivering high-quality products/product designs. Joining the University of Texas, Arlington, I pursued my Masters' Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Project Management. My post Masters' experience has enabled me to develop an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end project management processes, including defining the project scope, planning the project schedules, creating Gantt charts, acquiring resources, and executing the project to deliver the final output on time and within budget. Additionally, my solid financial acumen has assisted me in forecasting project budgets, analyzing costs, managing/controlling expenses and improving the bottom line by incurring cost savings. Managing risks, streamlining existing processes, identifying and resolving conflicts and maintaining open lines of communication within a bespoke project structure are some of my critical accountabilities as a project manager. When I am not at work, I keep myself abreast of the latest developments in Project Management and join online courses to improve my knowledge. Please feel free to contact me directly, as I am always looking to broaden my professional network.
