The CFO/COO serves as the principal administrative and financial officer at a nationally prominent independent K-XII school for 770 girls. Brearley has an operating budget of $55m and assets of $360m. The position oversees eight direct reports and a staff of approximately 150. The CFO/COO serves as an institutional liaison to various constituencies, working with the board, administration and external experts on varied and complex projects in an exacting and timely manner. The CFO position provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of the School's financial administration including: financial and related planning; operating and capital budgeting; revenue and expenditure analysis; financial and management reporting; payroll and procurement; investments and risk management; as well as accounting, tax, audit and compliance obligations.The CFO also provides administrative leadership and oversight in areas of Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Dining Services. The CFO also serves as the liaison to the Budget & Finance, Buildings, Audit, Investment and Affordability Committees of the Board of Trustees.

Contributed to the function and productivity of the CFO and other Academy leadership as an internal consultant, focusing on strategic and operational analysis and planning; Conveyed high-level information both orally and in writing to members of the board, faculty and administration; Provided support to CFO in his functional oversight of Facilities Management, Information Technology, and Planned Giving.

Reported to the Budget Director, Vice President of Finance and Administration, and the Provost.
